The Model K8 is a solid state personal radiation indicator for use in gamma detection. It is rugged yet lightweight (less than 30 g) with both an audible and visual alarm. The alarm is permanantly set to be activated any time the detector senses a gamma field of 100 µSv/hr (10 mR/hr) or more.
